Meet the Candidates and Learn About the Issues

Ron Korn, Commissioner Bonner County District 3

Ron Korn is a Christian conservative patriot who has lived in Bonner County for 24 years with his wife of 31 years, with whom he has three children. Korn participated in their youth activities, including serving as Scout Leader of Troop 130, founding and assisting in coaching the 7B Volleyball Club, chaperoning high school band trips, and attending numerous football and baseball games and band concerts.

Ron’s community service spans 23 years, including over 20 years as a volunteer with Bonner County Sheriff Search & Rescue, where he held leadership roles such as Training Officer, President, and Commander of over 150 volunteers.

His other volunteer efforts include saving the 2020 Independence Day celebrations from cancellation, founding and organizing a community watch group of over 100 neighbors, volunteering with Northside Fire, founding the 7 Bravo Militia, and establishing the Freedom and Civil Liberties Union (FACLU) to support individual liberties.

Brian Domke, Commissioner Bonner County District 1

As a licensed landscape architect, Brian Domke helps North Idaho citizens develop small family farms and homesteads, promoting a secure, self-sufficient rural lifestyle. Brian has over 25 years of experience collaborating with clients, industry professionals, regulatory agencies, and the public. This background will enable him to oversee Bonner County's various activities.

Brian's professional background gives him the skills to guide long-range planning, oversee large budgets, foster teamwork, find creative solutions, and make tough decisions with limited resources. In previous roles with architecture and engineering firms, Brian managed the planning, design, and construction of large projects for schools, colleges, libraries, and postal facilities. This experience in managing multi-million-dollar budgets is critical for a county commissioner.

Brian has volunteered extensively to protect the rural communities of Bonner County from unlawful amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and spot zoning. He chaired the Priest River/Oldtown Sub-Area Plan Committee and authored property rights language affirming landowners' constitutional rights to use their land as they choose, provided it does not harm neighbors.

Cornel Rasor, State Representative District 1

With deep roots in Idaho, Cornel Rasor has spent many years in various roles in public service, business, and community engagement. Rasor's career spans multiple sectors, including business and public administration. He has a wealth of experience in leadership and management, having owned and operated businesses that have contributed significantly to the local economy.  He managed the Army Surplus Store in Sandpoint, Idaho for 41 years and owned it for the last 2 years. His business acumen gives him a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and a keen understanding of the economic issues that affect Idahoans.

Rasor is a family man who values Idaho's strong sense of community. He enjoys the outdoors and appreciates the natural beauty of the state.  He has a long history of involvement in local politics and governance including holding the position of county commissioner.

Rasor's candidacy for Idaho State Representative is grounded in a commitment to service, a deep understanding of local issues, and a vision for a prosperous and free Idaho.
